1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, complete identity verification, or contact us for support. This includes your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, billing address, and government-issued ID documents (processed by Stripe Identity). We also collect usage data such as orders placed, bakeries visited, and subscription activity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the CupcakePass service, process payments and subscriptions via Stripe, verify your identity to prevent fraud, send transactional emails about your account and orders, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Identity Verification

To protect all members, we verify your identity using Stripe Identity. Your government-issued ID and selfie are processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy. CupcakePass does not store copies of your identity documents.

4. Payment Information

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. CupcakePass does not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. We store only the last four digits of your card and your Stripe customer ID for subscription management.

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only with service providers necessary to operate CupcakePass: Stripe (payments and identity verification), Clerk (authentication), and Amazon Web Services (hosting). We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 90 days before deletion, except where longer retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@cupcakepass.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use CupcakePass.

9. Children

CupcakePass is not available to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of CupcakePass after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
